This little dog bed is gorgeous.  Real old worldly charm and a nice piece of furniture.  It is only useful for a small or toy breed though ie. miniature dachschund, chihuahua etc and would be absolutely perfect for a cat.  The cushion is ok but no better than that but it is washable.  I would recommend replacing it with a fluffier, cosy and warm cushion for extra comfort.  You are buying the wicker bed really and the cushion is just a bonus.    The high sides on the bed, help give a snug, protective feel and protect your pet from drafts.  I would welcome this anywhere in my home as it is so aesthetically pleasing.  Definitely not a bed for a puppy as the wicker could be too tempting to chew!
