I must admit we have not actually bought this dog cushion pad / crate mat / travel mat but I was looking for a dog travel mat for the back of the car when I came across it in our local garden centre.  It is a well made, machine washable, tweed mat that is available in various sizes.  The reason I did not buy it was it felt so thin and hard.  May be I’m being a bit picky and my dog wouldn’t actually mind or notice but for me it doesn’t seem comfy enough.  Forgetting the comfort part, it is practical mat as it is made of heavy duty material and comes in a colour that would hide mucky paw prints & can also be easily cleaned when it gets grubby.  For me, it’s not really a cushion, it would not work as a main dog bed or really a cushion in a dog bed for my dog. I see the main benefit as protection from a cold floor / boot / crate base.
