The P&L basket weave oval dog bed available from Wayfair is the heavyweight of dog beds. It is solid, sturdy, robust and I’m convinced will last a long time.  We opted for the large size bed and I think it is ideal for a labrador, golden retriever sized dog although it is available in smaller sizes.  The outer design is a neutral tweed type basket weave that would blend in with most decor.  In my opinion it is not a product to compliment your interior design but it will hide mucky paw prints.  The sides and base are pretty thick and it comes with a removable cushion pad to make your dog more comfy.  Personally, I felt it needed a soft blanket although I doubt a robust large breed dog would mind.  It would also be good in a colder home or where there is a risk of a draft as it is deep enough and the base is thick enough to prevent your dog getting too cold.  This is not a soft, fluffy option for sensitive pooches but it is functional and extremely practical.  Made in the UK, the bed is also machine washable.

I would recommend this bed for owners looking for a durable, long lasting dog bed.  I can’t imagine it is easy to destroy so a good choice for the more boisterous rather than delicate dog.
