One of our Top Ten Best dog beds, the Petface Bamboo & Cord Dog Bed is loved by our reviewers and is a wonderfully warm and cosy bed your dog will love to snuggle into.  The light and dark grey design is decorated with Christmassy red dachshunds – so looks festive but is great for year-round use too.  Cheap for what it is, it’s washable and robust enough to last even with an energetic puppy.

Loved by two of our reviewers (thanks Abi and Jennie), the Chilli Dog Pet Bed is an all-round great value, British made dog bed which washes well, lasts despite chewing, and looks lovely.  The fabric choices are impressive – at least 12 different types of polka dot, floral, check, tartan, star, animal print or soft cord materials to choose from.  As a Christmas present for your dog or puppy,  the maroon (more red as you can see from the picture with Bertie) is a bit of a seasonal sensation.

This Barbour Dog Coat is the perfect dog coat as far as we’re concerned.  It’s a canine version of the classic Barbour biker jacket and made for battling the elements and keeping out the cold and wet.  It’s robust, with serious quality waxed cotton for excellent water protection and is insulated with a polar-fleece inner lining to keep your doggy warm. Good Boy Mini Mince Pies £3.49 from Monster Pet Supplies

Yum!  These Mini Mince Pie Xmas dog treats went down a treat with the doggy testers.  No detailed review from our four-legged friends but just a request for ‘More please!’  Definitely a Christmas Day treat – just remember not to tuck into them yourselves.  To be honest, I reckon with a good helping of brandy butter and you probably wouldn’t notice 😉

Nerf Dog Ball Blaster, around £14.99 at Amazon

Not just for dogs but serious fun for owners too.  If you want to make the Christmas day walk more fun this is a great idea.  Works with tennis balls, the Nerf Dog Ball Blaster gives everyone entertainment and a much needed run around – dogs, kids and husbands.  It’s not seriously powerful – a strong right arm or a ball launcher can throw as far – but this is a great idea and a fun toy for the dog’s owners too.
